Shower Design Trends

Your shower is much more than a place to get clean; it's a place to wash away the cares of the day as well. Here are some of the trends we track at Frank Webb's Bath Centers:

Oversize showers: Many homeowners are replacing tubs, especially in the master bath, with oversize showers. You may simply enjoy the roomy feeling, or you can install luxury add-ons such as steam generators, multiple shower heads, and body sprays.

An oversized shower adds value to your home – as long as there is still a tub in another bathroom, for families with children or people who just don't want to give up their soak.

Accessibility features: With so many people staying in their homes as they age, aging in place and other accessibility features are becoming more and more popular. Flat drains, no-threshold entries, built-in shower seats and grab bars are great for all ages. And these days, these products can be stylish and attractive too.

These features may require a larger than usual shower enclosure, especially if you need to accommodate a wheelchair. (If you have accessibility needs, we recommend talking with one of the consultants at our Accessible Living Centers. These specialized showrooms also carry our full bath and kitchen product lines.)

Integrated storage: Know that tiny shelf built into your old shower enclosure – the one that only holds a single bar of soap or bottle of shampoo? That's gone the way of the dinosaur. Today's shower designs offer a wide variety of storage shelves and compartments that are cleverly integrated into your beautiful, functional shower environment.

The consultants at Frank Webb's Bath Center can help you decide which showers and shower doors will best fit both your dream and your budget.
